Cornice is the highest-exposure strategy in the Varve family. It trades in independent position clusters: many trades, short holding times and floating drawdown are part of normal operation. It can realise a loss — an account-level stop closes it at 40 % in the worst case.
Ridgeline holds a single position and adds hedges in the direction of the move. Fewer trades, longer holding times and a deeper floating drawdown than Cornice, but no account-level stop: baskets are held until they resolve. Individual hedge legs close at a loss when the main position recovers — judge it by the basket, not by single trades. Deeper drawdown, lower risk of ruin.
Basecamp is buy-only on gold, silver, oil and bitcoin. Its worst case is bounded: each symbol is limited to 25 % of account margin, and no position is opened that the account could not survive if that symbol fell more than 60 %. Conservative does not mean shallow — buy-only positions can stay open a long time in a falling market.
All three run on cent accounts. Minimum to copy: $500 on a standard account or $50 on a cent account; recommended $5,000 and $500. To stop copying, use Pause Copy and let open positions close with the master first.
